JazzVox Concerts in 2010!

March 12 (Auburn) & 14 (Camano Island) - Stephanie Nakasian
with Bill Anschell (piano)

Stephanie:

"Vocal virtuosity...broad range of material that showed her assurance on easygoing ballads, soft, Brazilian scat singing, and punchy pep songs."
- John S. Wilson, The New York Times

"She has all the feel and charm of an early Ella Fitzgerald."
- Tempo, New Orleans, LA

"Swings and scats with authority"... "Evokes Ella and Sarah without sounding overly derivative"... "Sensuous"
- Mike Joyce, The Washington Post

"...one of the important jazz singers in the world today."
- New Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz (Oxford Press)

Bill:

"....forthright lyrical beauty and spontaneous chance-taking that always hits the mark."
- Dan McClenaghan, AllAboutJazz.com

"He's an unsung hero of the understatement. A lavation, a magic, a mystery and totally original. He'll play the same song different ways, every time, even if it's his own."
- Dick Crockett, The Voice, 88.7, Sacramento
